Did you know that on average, there are 3.2 televisions in every household in the UK alone!                                                                               This means that there are an estimated 70 million TV’s in the UK, each one potentialy harmful to the environment should the phosphor compound coating the inner screen leach out into the water table if we continue to dispose of them through landfill.

We charge £6 per TV for disposal + a collection fee - UK wide. Contact us for a quotation.

Televisions and computer monitors both contain cathode ray tubes (CRT’s), that have been classified as hazardous waste since July 2005, meaning that they must undergo treatment to remove the harmful lead and cadmium in the phosphors, before disposal. They cannot be dumped into the municipal waste stream if they are separately collected – they are Hazardous Waste!
